On April 1, 2024, the financial sector reported that, according to the announcement of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, Apple had obtained an item entitled "detachable articulated power supply and data interface", the authorization announcement number was CN116114124B, and the application date was September 2020.



The patent abstract shows that the connector insert and these connector sockets have a small shape, and when the connector insert and connector socket are matched, the connector insert can rotate relative to the electronic device accommodating the connector socket and perform joint motion. The connector socket can be connected to components in the electronic device through a flexible circuit board, which has a certain amount of slack or excess length to allow the connector socket and connector insert to rotate relative to the connected components.
