ADI Portable Energy Storage Power Supply Solution

1.LT8390-60V four tube lifting and lowering solution



LT8390 is a synchronous 4-switch buck boost DC/DC controller that can adjust output voltage, input or output current based on input voltage higher, lower, or equal to the output voltage. The proprietary peak buck/peak boost current mode control scheme supports adjustable and synchronous fixed frequency operation from 150kHz to 650kHz, or supports internal ± 15% delta spread spectrum modulation that can reduce EMI. 2. LTC4020-55V, step-down boost type multi chemical composition battery charger



LTC4020 is a high-voltage power manager that allows for the implementation of Power Path over a wide voltage range ™ Instant connection operation and efficient battery charging. A built-in buck boost DC/DC controller can operate when the battery or system voltage is above, below, or equal to the input voltage.

LTC4020 can seamlessly manage power distribution between battery and converter outputs in response to load changes, battery charging requirements, and input power constraints.

The LTC4020 battery charger can provide a constant current/constant voltage charging algorithm (CC/CV), constant current charging (CC), or use an optimized 4-step, 3-stage lead-acid battery charging mode for charging. The maximum converter and battery charging current can be set by resistors.

3.LT8491- High voltage step-down boost battery charging controller with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and I2C




LT8491 is a step-down step-up switch regulator battery charger, which can achieve a constant current and constant voltage (CCCV) charging curve for most battery types, including sealed lead-acid (SLA), overflow, gel and lithium-ion batteries.

The device operates at an input voltage higher than, lower than, or equal to the output voltage, and can be powered by a solar panel or a DC power source. On chip logic provides automatic maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for solar powered applications. LT8491 can perform automatic temperature compensation by detecting external thermistors that are thermally coupled to the battery. The STATUS pin can be used to drive LED indicator lights. The device adopts a thin (0.75mm) 7mm x 11mm 64 pin QFN package.

In portable energy storage power applications, the LT8491 scheme can quickly achieve high-performance, high-power solar charging circuits. LT8491 comes with an efficient MPPT algorithm and does not require professional software development. LT8491 comes with an IIC communication interface, which allows for easy reading and setting of voltage and current parameters through software. If IIC read and write function is not required, LT8490 scheme can be directly selected. LT8491 is an enhanced version of LT8490, which adds an IIC communication interface and supports IIC reading, setting voltage and current information.

4. LT3763-60V High Current Step-down Multifunctional Synchronous Rectification Buck Controller



LT ® 3763 is a fixed frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC controller designed specifically for accurately adjusting output currents up to 20A. The average current mode controller will maintain the inductor current regulation function within a wide output voltage range of 0V to 55V. The output current is set by the analog voltage on the CTRL pin and an external detection resistor. Voltage regulation and overvoltage protection are set using a voltage divider connected between the output and FB pins. The switching frequency can be set within the range of 200kHz to 1MHz through an external resistor on the RT pin or using the SYNC pin and an external clock signal. Input and output current detection can provide input current limitation and accurate measurement of these currents. The FBIN pin is available for applications that require peak power tracking functionality.


Other features of this device include an accurate external reference voltage used in conjunction with the CTRL pin, an accurate UVLO/EN pin that provides programmable UVLO hysteresis, a PWM driver for LED applications, output voltage fault detection, and hot shutdown functionality.
