The principle of frequency stabilization and voltage stabilization in variable frequency power supplies

Article Source:Kinri Energy | Author:Kinri Energy | Issuing Time:2024.06.13
The principle of frequency stabilization and voltage stabilization in variable frequency power supplies is mainly achieved through precise control of output voltage and frequency through digital signal processors (DSP) or microcontrollers (MCU).

variable frequency power supply

In a variable frequency power supply, the input power is first rectified and filtered to obtain a basically stable DC voltage. Then, through efficient power electronic devices such as IGBT, MOSFET, etc., the DC voltage is converted into AC voltage, and adjusted through a transformer to ultimately output the required voltage and frequency.

During this process, DSP or MCU will continuously monitor the demand of the load and the waveform of the input power supply, adjust the output voltage and frequency according to the preset control algorithm, in order to achieve stable frequency and voltage regulation. Specifically, if the load demand increases, the DSP or MCU will automatically increase the output voltage and frequency to ensure the normal operation of the equipment; On the contrary, if the load demand decreases, it will automatically reduce the output voltage and frequency, thereby saving energy consumption.

In addition, variable frequency power supplies can also use some technologies to further improve frequency stability and voltage stability performance. For example, using multi-level filters to eliminate electromagnetic interference and harmonics; Adopting reactive power compensation technology to improve power factor; Applying closed-loop control algorithms to improve stability, etc.

In short, the stable frequency and voltage regulation principle of variable frequency power supplies is achieved through digital signal processing technology and efficient power electronic devices, which can accurately control the output voltage and frequency, ensuring the stable operation of the equipment.
