There are several common malfunctions and causes of power modules:
Unable to start or no output voltage: It may be due to abnormal or damaged input power of the power module, such as high or low input voltage, short circuit of input power, etc; It may also be an internal fault in the power module, such as a main circuit component failure, control circuit failure, etc.
Large fluctuation of output voltage: It may be caused by excessive load on the power module, sudden load changes, and other reasons that lead to unstable output voltage; It is also possible that the internal switch components of the power module are damaged, the filtering capacitor is aged, and other factors can cause output voltage fluctuations.
Heat dissipation issue: When the power module works for a long time or the ambient temperature is high, it may cause poor heat dissipation, which can lead to overheating or overload of the power module.
Overload protection triggered: When the load current exceeds the rated current of the power module, the power module will automatically trigger overload protection and stop outputting voltage.
Overvoltage protection triggered: When the output voltage exceeds the rated voltage of the power module, the power module will automatically trigger overvoltage protection and stop the output voltage.
The malfunction may be caused by the design or manufacturing issues of the power module itself, or by improper external environment or usage. When encountering power module malfunctions, troubleshooting should be carried out according to the symptoms and possible causes of the malfunctions, and the faulty components should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
