Huawei all-around charger (Max 100W) for sale: USB-A/C fusion

Article Source:zaker | Author:KuaiTech | Issuing Time:2024.04.09
On April 8th, KuaiTech reported that Huawei's all-around charger (Max 100W) has finally gone on sale, with this highly anticipated charger priced at 299 yuan.

It offers two color options, cherry pink and white, and features a USB-A/C fusion interface.

Supports a maximum charging power of 100W, is compatible with Huawei Supercharge ultra fast charging, and has passed the China Fusion Fast Charging UFCS protocol certification.

According to the official introduction, this charger has an impressive charging speed. For Huawei nova 12 Pro, it only takes 10 minutes to replenish 60% of the battery; Mate 60 Pro can be charged to 98% in 30 minutes; The Mate X5 is charged to 86% within 30 minutes.

In addition, Max 100 is compatible with various fast charging protocols such as PD, PPS, QC, etc., and is suitable for devices with various operating systems such as iOS, HarmonyOS, Android, etc.
However, this charger adopts a fused port design, allowing users to only plug in one USB-A or USB-C cable at the same time, and does not support dual port charging at the same time.

This design has sparked some controversy, but Huawei's BG CTO, Bruce Lee, explained that it is aimed at providing users with a better user experience.

Bruce Lee explained, "A and C can only output voltage from one port at a time. In order to prevent users from plugging in wires but not outputting voltage, which may result in not charging or mistakenly thinking that the charger is faulty, physical interference is used, allowing users to only insert one charging wire at the same time. This design also reduces the learning cost for users."
