China FAW has applied for a power supply control patent, which can reduce the significant consumption of battery power during vehicle parking

On April 6, 2024, the financial sector reported that, according to the announcement of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, FAW Corporation of China applied for a patent entitled "power supply control method, device, on-board terminal and vehicle", with the publication number of CN117818513A and the application date of December 2023.



The patent abstract shows that the present application relates to a power supply control method, device, onboard terminal, and vehicle. The method comprises: determining whether the target vehicle is in a closed state based on the CAN bus signal of the controller local area network of the target vehicle; If so, monitor the static current of the target vehicle and determine if there are any abnormalities in the static current; When it is determined that there is an abnormality in the static current, disconnect the power relay of the target vehicle to control it to enter a locked state; Among them, in the locked state, the power supply of the target vehicle stops supplying power; When an unlock request is detected for the target vehicle, control the power relay to close according to the unlock request to restore power to the target vehicle. This method can reduce the significant consumption of battery power during vehicle parking.
